Gelatin Brain

For this you will need to purchase a brain mold.
This can be found in most Halloween stores that pop up during the season.

    Ingredients:

  • 3 small boxes of Peach flavored gelatin (3 oz. ea.)
  • Green food coloring
  • 12 ozs. of lite evaporated milk (No other milk will work)

    Instructions:

  • Spray Mold with cooking spray and set aside.

  • Mix the 3 boxes of gelatin in a large bowl with 3 cups of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is dissolved.

  • Next, added enough cold water to the milk to make 3 cups and add it to the bowl. Stir until blended. Add drops of Green food coloring until you get your desired color and look.

  • Now, pour mixture into the mold and refrigerate over night. By wrapping the mold with a towel and placing in a baking pan the mold will stay level while the gelatin sets.

  • To remove brain from mold shake mold gently and place a serving plate over the brain and turn over.

  • Garnish and place on the table as a unique table decoration.

  • Although the gelatin it edible I find that the presence of the brain on the table creates the effect I need especially when guests try to gather up the nerve to touch it. Screams are sure to follow.
